The NATH Foundation enables nonprofit organizations to serve communities more effectively around the world and in particularly in India. The NATH Foundation's global giving focus now addresses two areas:

Nonprofit Effectiveness
The NATH Foundation has a long-standing commitment to help nonprofit organizations operate more effectively and efficiently so they may strengthen the impact of the valuable services they provide to communities. This includes volunteer management, leadership development, social enterprise and capacity building through new technology.

Economic and Global Literacy
Improving economic literacy in communities through programming that teaches the fundamentals of free education and the foundations of economic education are the focus of this initiative. The NATH Foundation focuses its education investments in two primary areas both aimed at addressing this inequity:  (1) helping village schools better prepare all students for college, work, and citizenship; and (2) reducing financial barriers to basic education for poor and needy.

The NATH Foundation's Global Giving Strategies

The NATH Foundation directs its giving through three global giving strategies. These strategies leverage all of NATH Corporation Limited' resources - financial, human and knowledge.

Effective Volunteerism
The NATH Foundation helps to strengthen nonprofit capacity to meet demands for services through more effective recruitment and management of volunteers. Businesses strive to manage their employees' time and talents effectively. Likewise, nonprofit organizations seek to increase both the number of volunteers on their rosters and the impact those volunteers have in their communities.

Leadership
The NATH Foundation works to improve nonprofit effectiveness through investments that encourage innovation and social entrepreneurship among current and future leaders of nonprofit organizations and agencies. As NATH Corporation Limited works to develop a highly skilled, motivated and diverse workforce that responds to the rapidly changing environment around them, the company also seeks to support similar efforts in nonprofit organizations. The Foundation helps to create opportunities for nonprofit and for-profit managers to share best practices with each other so both might better achieve their missions.

Sustainability/Micro Financing
The Foundation helps to promote the long-term effectiveness and financial stability of high-performing nonprofits that are delivering outstanding services to their communities. Not only do these exemplary organizations provide important services, but they also have a wealth of knowledge that can help other organizations enhance their abilities to deliver high quality services, helping more people and strengthening more communities.

With the new emphasis now given to micro enterprises, self employment activities and household enterprises, now all considered as essential actors for achieving social and economic development in developed and developing countries. NATH Foundation provide funds for sustainable enterprises via NATH Foundation Micro Credit Bank, administered by the MSSRF Micro-Credit Bank (MCB) program where loans are given to groups of Self Help Groups (SHGs), mostly of women. With access to capital, training and support from MSSRF, SHGs have proven themselves to be successful entrepreneurs, developing and expanding small business ventures of handicrafts, papermaking, and more.

Scholarships
There are gross inequities in both preparation for and access to college, particularly for historically underserved young people. Years of education reform have largely neglected India's schools In today's world - where virtually all jobs that yield a living wage demand an education - educating India's young and poor people is increasingly critical to the future of our society, economy, and democracy. The NATH Foundation focuses its education investments in two primary areas both aimed at addressing this inequity:  (1) helping village schools better prepare all students for college, work, and citizenship; and (2) reducing financial barriers to basic education for poor and needy. The foundation is currently open for the following scholarships in memory of Late Shrimati Ajanta Nath.
